Nothing.all was very terrible.THIS Hotel is good for beggers
This hotel is the most dirty that I have look,AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NO Elevator, nobody clean up the room when you stay there,no air conditioned,check-in/out in another side, very small and dirty bad, only if you are lucky you will find a bath in your room.this hotel is a cowshed.moreover they say that you will pay during the holydays but you pay atleast whole price three week ago.
Very central and easy to get to ( a tram diectly from the main station then a short walk). It was also advisable to read the details on the hotel carefully as the check in is at another hotel (the Max) literally five minutes round the corner. I was prepared for this beforehand although not everyone takes the trouble to find this out in advance. Having no reception could be a problem for some people. Also the stairs were very steep but this was also clearly mentioned in the site.
We had an unfortuneate experience on arrival. the card keys we were given didn't work. So we returned to the reception a second time and again had the same trouble. The third time we were given a master key. The next morning the problem was solved by the regular receptionist making new keys for us from the computer. Lastly the bedroom had charming old fashioned oak furniture, this was ok except for the large double bed which had a wooden frame surrounding it.This made it exceedingly difficult to get out of bed. I found a technique eventually! .
Well located if you rent a bicycle. Quite location. Towels got changed every day.
Comfort is poor, disgusting carpets in the room, pocket size TV
special boxes with chocolate and soda
breakfast in the other hotel
The location was good. The breakfast included was a nice added value and good. Nice garden/patio deck. We were lucky to get one of the few rooms with the shower/sink combo and shared a bathroom.
The only down was the bed frame was high and made out of wood. You had to be very careful getting in and out of the bed without hitting the frame. No reception desk at this hotel, you have to walk over to the main hotel.
Location is ok...
The pictures are very misleading. The hotel was a hole in the wall and was expensive for what it was.
i have never paid so much for a room, yet i havent seen such bad conditions in a hotel. gabage.
they sold me a little double room with an extra bed as a triple room. the stairs were very very short and it was a real adventure to get to the second floor. the breakfast was poor(one kind of salami, one kind of cheese cucambers tomatos milk and cereals) three persons shared two towels that had never been changed it was very very very expensive.etc etc etc
I think the geografique localisation in the dowtow is very good on front of the Amsten River, no noisem synpatique street, good wi fi,old interisting house but need to fix something.
The check in, check out et breakfast in another adresse in hotel MAX no information about this in a reservation, the room isn't cleaned every day.
The lady at the reception was utterly lacking in good manners. She was unbelievably rude. Upon entering the room, the heating was dead, the radiator was ice cold and the air in the room was cold beyond all tolerable limits. When I asked whether she could guarantee that the room heating would be on in the evening, she started yelling that I was free to leave if I didn't like it. Her rude language was accompanied by suburban gestures in which she brought down her hands to crash onto the counter while denying that I was a guest of the hotel although I had paid in advance. I tried explaining that it was her responsibility to ensure that everything was all right with the room (including the heating) before selling it, but to no effect.
The room is really small and cleanless of our room.
Rooms were not so big but they were clean. Breakfast was ok and the staff nice. If you have to go to the Schiphol airport the hotel can book a taxi for you.
Check-in and chek.out in another hotel, but it was really close.
Was not really fault of the Hotel, but the internet was jammed last 2 days.
Cheap and cheerful - clean room, staff pleasant enough! Great location, we thought it might be a bit far out of town but it was a great spot for visiting local markets, shops etc. It was possible to walk to most visitor attractions too. Breakfast not exciting, but what you'd expect for the price and served in a nice space with the option of sitting in the garden.
I didn't mind and I'm sure it's the case in many Amsterdam hotels, due to the tall thin shape of the buildings, but the stairs were incredibly steep and there was no lift. It was hard to lug the suitcase upstairs so I imagine someone with limited mobility would find it very difficult. There were no staff obviously present to help either, as you check in and out at Hotel Max across the street. This was fine, but a little odd and it meant Iris didn't have a reception.
good breakfast, hotel own bicycle rent.
in some reason cold shower only
Breakfast was not to bad, with selection for both meat eaters and vegetarians.
It was a nightmare! Absolutely horrible! Dirty all over, no Internet, On arrival the guy in reception was rude. They charge you for every small thing and the prices are from space. The iris hotel is without reception so you have to go to another hotel to check in and also the breakfast is served there. Very confusing and uncomfortable. It was raining when we arrived and we had to spend long time looking for cash machine as they will charge me 5% on top for using my credit card. The shower that you have to share with other guests, was so disgusting that I was scared to enter inside. The safe in the room was broken, the toilet was cold, soap dispenser was only for decoration. All over very bad impression and wouldn't recommend it to my enemy.
